Ingredients

Serves : 9
  • 1/2 kgs rajma/kidney beans


  • 1 nos onion


  • 2 nos tomatoes


  • 1/2 tsp salt


  • 1 tsp chilli powder


  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powde


  • 2 cups coconut milk (thick)


  • 1 nos garlic clove chopped

Directions

  • Soak overnight, rajma in water
  • In pressure cooker put onions and braise with two tablespoon of oil till pinkish brown
  • Add spices, salt and tomatoes, cook till paste like
  • Add rajma with two cups of water and cook till tender
  • Remove lid and dry up the water, now add coconut milk and let it boil once
  • Garnish with chopped corriander leaves and green chillies
  • Serve with coconut or plain rice
  • You can also make coconut cream from coconut milk by boiling it till thick cream and top the rajma with it
